Mr. Sidney Moore, incoming Principal of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High SchoolBIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Board of Directors of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School is pleased to announce the appointment HFCR’s new principal, effective for the 2012-2013 school year. After a thorough search and interview process in which a number of well-qualified candidates were considered, the Board of Directors, upon recommendation from the Principal Search Committee, has appointed Mr. Sidney Moore as Principal of Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School. Mr. Moore, a current Holy Family Cristo Rey faculty member, has over 40 years of experience in secondary education. Well-known and respected among Birmingham educators, Mr. Moore will bring a strong focus to academic excellence and college preparation. The entire Holy Family Cristo Rey community looks forward to working collaboratively with Mr. Moore to continue the mission of HFCR: changing lives and communities through education. Located in Ensley, Alabama, Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School provides a private, Catholic college preparatory education for students with limited financial and educational opportunities. Through a unique work-study program, students intern five days per month in corporate offices throughout the Metropolitan Birmingham area, earning a portion of their tuition.
