“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance.” Acts 26:19-20

As we live our lives we try this and try that believing every time that this is what we should do, this is the right thing to do, this time it is going to work and for some of us this is what God created me to do. However, as time goes on some of us discover what we have embarked on isn’t what the world wants, isn’t going to support our family, doesn’t fulfill the void within us or even appears not to be what God has ordained – because it hasn’t worked out.  As a result you go into yourself in some secluded place and sulk about your apparent failure.  You hide somewhere that you hope you can’t be seen and you do something so small that you are sure you can achieve success only to discover that you still are not happy and  you still don’t feel fulfilled.  Even though you have thrown in the towel, made all the apologies you feel you need to make and closed the book on this venture, something still isn’t right with you. Why?  Because you haven’t forgiven yourself. You haven’t told yourself “it’s ok that the idea didn’t work, it’s ok that I didn’t do it right, it’s ok that I didn’t put forth all my energy, It’s ok that I lost my focus, it’s ok that I hurt some people along the way without intention and it’s ok to move on.”  IT’S TIME TO FORGIVE YOURSELF AND LIVE!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1 John 1
If God had a ONE SHOT plan for us, He would not have this verse in the Bible. If God wanted us to be mistake free, He would not have sent Jesus to the cross.  Ephesians  1:7 says  In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.
If God wanted or expected you to never make the wrong turn, He would not have provided such a road map in His Word and all the examples of people that messed up and still accomplished God’s plan. If God was looking for perfect people, no one would be available. God knows what you have done and He has forgiven you so why can’t you FORGIVE YOURSELF?  Why are you staying in the tree hiding from the world when the world needs your gift? Why are you still hiding behind your mistakes and allowing fear to stagnate your life?  Why are you looking for others to validate you when God has already purposed you and promised you?  Why aren’t you doing what you were created to do?  It’s time to hold your head up, stick your chest out and stand up!  IT’S TIME TO FORGIVE YOURSELF AND LIVE!

God has forgiven you - it’s time you do the same,
