BIRMINGHAM, AL – Birmingham Botanical Gardens is proud to join the American Public Gardens Association in the national recognition of public gardens. The Gardens has served Birmingham for almost 50 years as an educational outlet, and with the continuous effort of Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, it has remained free to the public for the duration. The average cost of admittance to other American public gardens is $7.50.* On average, it costs $12** to accommodate each visitor to The Gardens. The Gardens is proud to remain Alabama’s most visited free attraction, serving more than 350,000 each year.
