FAIRFIELD, AL – Congratulation to head football coach Reginald Ruffin and running back Jordan Lewis on being selected as the Pigskin Club of Washington, DC, 2011 SIAC Coach and Player of the Year. They will receive the Charles B. Fisher and Oliver M Thompson Awards respectively, at the 74th Annual Awards Dinner on Friday, February 10 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC.

The Pigskin Club was the brainchild of the late Dr. Charles B. Fisher, a former star player on the Howard University football teams of 1917, 1919, and 1920. Being impressed with the benefits that derive from wholesome athletics, and understanding the problems incident to participation in competitive sports. Dr. Fisher conceived the idea of assembling men who had received benefits from such activities and forming them into an organization.
