Raiques Lapree Crump has achieved scouting’s highest honor of Eagle Scout. He is a scout with Troop 246. Troop 246 is chartered by True Life Baptist Church in Forestdale and is a part of the Cherokee District BSA. Raiques was honored during an Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony on Saturday, November 28 at the Boy Scouts of America Liberty Park. His Eagle project consisted of designing and constructing a bridge that will be used by his church for ceremonial occasions. He has been involved in scouting since he w   as a Tiger Cub. He is also a member of the Coosa 50 Order of the Arrow.
 Raiques is a senior at Minor High School where he is a highly recruited and lettered varsity football player and a member of the track team.  He is an active member of the True Life Baptist Church where he is a youth usher, member of the choir, and the church’s audio/visual ministry.   
 After high school Raiques plans to further his education by attending college. His major is undecided at this time.
 Proud parents are Marcus and JuNaye Wharton of Forestdale, and little sisters are Trinity and Micaiah.
