The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a homicide investigation. The victim was discovered on Monday, July 30, 2012 at approximately 2:15 p.m. at 4209 F.L. Shuttlesworth Drive. The victim has been identified as: Aaron Carroll, B/M, 80, of Birmingham, Alabama. The suspect has been identified as:  Felanda Gates, B/F, 35, Transient. A Capital Murder warrant has been obtained against the suspect. The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail. |
