 BIRMINGHAM, AL – St. Vincent’s Health System celebrated the 20th anniversary and grand re-opening of the newly renovated St. Vincent’s Bruno Fitness Center on Wednesday, August 8, with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony.
 Local donors to the St. Vincent’s Foundation generously provided funds to renovate the existing St. Vincent’s Bruno Fitness Center. Upgrades to the Fitness Center include additional equipment, renovated locker rooms, a new cardiac rehabilitation area, a renovated aerobics room, a cardio area on the fitness floor with a cardio theater, seven new flat screen TVs, and new audio equipment in the aerobics room and aquatic center.
 “Through the generous contributions of our donors, St. Vincent’s is honored to provide our associates and community members with a newly renovated fitness center,” said John O’Neil, president and CEO of St. Vincent’s Health System. “St. Vincent’s is dedicated to meeting the health and wellness needs of our community, and we’re proud to celebrate the St. Vincent’s Bruno Fitness Center’s 20th anniversary by reaffirming that commitment with an upgraded facility.”
 The St. Vincent’s Bruno Fitness Center is located at 833 St. Vincent’s Drive, Suite 100, on the St. Vincent’s Birmingham campus. The facility features state-of-the-art workout equipment, including Treadmills, Ellipticals, Arc Trainers, Recumbent and Upright Bikes, Cybex Strength Equipment, and 2,000 lbs. of Free Weights. In addition, the Fitness Center offers Aerobic Classes, an Exercise Pool, a Therapy Pool, Water Aerobic Classes, Lap Swimming, and Aquatic Exercise Equipment.
