   Dick Gregory, Woodrow Keown, and Edward ClineHonors Dick Gregory, Woodrow Keown and Edward Cline Today, the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund celebrates 45 years, 6 p.m. reception, and 7 p.m. program and dinner at the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama. Honoree Dick Gergory will receive the Estelle Witherspoon Lifetime Achievement Award. Leaders honored for contributions in the history of the Cooperative Development in the South are Woodrow Keown, Chairman of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund Board and Edward Cline, Vice Chairman. The Annual Meeting celebration will be at the Federation’s Rural Training & Research Center in Epes, Alabama including workshops and plenaries on the upcoming Farm Bill and Rural Development programs.
